Nokia, Amazon sign patent agreement
March 31, 2025
Nokia has signed a patent agreement with Amazon covering the use of Nokia’s video technologies in Amazon’s streaming services and devices. The agreement resolves all patent litigation between the parties, in all jurisdictions.
The terms of the agreement, including financial terms, remain confidential.
“We are pleased to have reached agreement on the use of Nokia’s video technologies in Amazon’s streaming services and devices,” said Arvin Patel, Chief Licensing Officer New Segments, at Nokia.
The settlement follows several lawsuits filed around the world by Nokia against Amazon since October 2023 for the unauthorised use of its video technologies in its streaming services and devices.
