Hemisphere Media Group (HMG), a US media company targeting the US Hispanic and Latin American markets, has announced the expansion of its cable networks Pasiones and Cinelatino to new audiences across Mexico and Latin America.
Pasiones, the cable network for multicultural telenovelas and Cinelatino, the Latin American contemporary movie channel, will now be available on Totalplay, Mexico’s premier telecommunications company reaching 2.4 million subscribers. Additionally, Pasiones and Cinelatino will reach viewers across Latin America via Millicom (Tigo), a provider of fixed and mobile telecommunications services in the region. This new distribution deal will enable Tigo’s 2.6 million subscribers throughout Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and El Salvador to enjoy the programming of Pasiones and Cinelatino.
“We are excited to expand distribution for Pasiones and Cinelatino, bringing our diverse content to more audiences across Latin America,” said Alan Sokol, President and CEO of HMG. “Our partnerships with Totalplay and Millicom are a testament to the growing demand for culturally rich and varied premium entertainment, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to provide the best in telenovelas and cinema to viewers throughout the region.”
