Boat Rocker distributes Olga Da Polga
February 15, 2024
Boat Rocker, an independent, integrated global entertainment company, has announced it is distributing season 1 & 2 of hit kids & family series Olga Da Polga globally (excluding the UK) for Maramedia.
The series, based on the best-selling books from Michael Bond, creator of the beloved Paddington Bear, follows the adventures of loveable guinea pig heroine Olga Da Polga and her animal friends in this funny, colourful and heart-warming live action series. It stars Lesley Harcourt, Greg Hemphill, and Susheel Kamar and currently airs on CBeebies in the UK.
Synopsis of series: Olga is a loveable and highly imaginative guinea pig. She lives with the Sawdust Family and a collection of backyard animal friends. At the mere drop of a hat, she’ll spin one of her outlandish yarns. And don’t imagine she’s going to let a limited grasp of the facts or big new words get in the way of a good story. As long as she can put a guinea pig centre-stage, Olga will be happy! Karen and the Sawdust family are on-hand for all the adventures alongside Olga’s new roommate Daisy, Noel the house cat, Graham the tortoise and hedgehog Fangio as her devoted fan-club. And not to mention rival story-teller Boris. Olga dreams up endless fantasies and schemes which generally have their sources in the rather more mundane world of being a family pet.
“We’re thrilled to be distributing Olga Da Polga for Maramedia,” said Gia DeLaney, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Kids & Family, Boat Rocker Studios. “The story is as heartwarming as it is entertaining and is perfect for global audiences.”
Jackie Savery, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Maramedia said, “We are excited to be working with Boat Rocker again on this very special title and thrilled that an international audience can now share the very funny and lovely stories of Olga da Polga!”
