By Chris Forrester
The fourth Virgin Galactic tourist flight (number 04) has a launch window opening today (October 5th). It is the fifth flight of the year and the ninth overall.
One passenger will be Namira Salim, who will be the first Pakistani to get to space. Two other passengers are not named other than one is from the UK and the other from the US.
“The three private astronauts aboard ‘Galactic 04’ bring different backgrounds and cultures to the mission, along with a shared passion for space, exploration and adventure,” stated Virgin Galactic.
Virgin Galactic says the rapid return to flight further demonstrates its ability to deliver safe, repeatable spaceflight and a transformative customer experience.
Virgin Galactic’s spaceflight experience and operations are located at the world’s first purpose-built spaceport – The Gateway to Space at Spaceport America in New Mexico.
