Telia appoints Hageman as CFO
August 10, 2023
Telia Company has announced the appointment of Eric Hageman as Executive Vice President, Group Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Group Executive Management team, effective September 15th. Hageman replaces Per Christian Mørland, who, as previously announced, will leave Telia at the end of September.
Hageman has previously held senior executive positions at Royal KPN NV, including Group CFO and CEO of KPN Belgium (Base), and Group CFO roles at TelecityGroup Plc, IWG Plc and William Hill. He started his career in London, working in M&A and Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank and ABN Amro.
Allison Kirkby, Telia Company President and CEO, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Eric to Telia. Eric brings a wealth of experience from our sector and as a highly experienced chief financial officer who has led businesses during periods of change and transformation. Alongside his corporate finance experience, these skills are exactly what we need as we embark on the next phase of our strategy and pursue our mission to create a better Telia for everyone.”
With this appointment, Tim Pennington, previously appointed interim CFO, will revert to an advisory position in the company.
Hageman said: “I am excited to join Telia, which has a unique position in the Nordics and Baltics. The positive impact from digitalisation for societies, public and private sector players, and consumers alike, have never been more important, and I am excited to continue the work with Allison and the team to drive profitable growth across the company and create value for all of Telia’s stakeholders.”
