May 16, 2023

Mometu, the free independent streaming service, has expanded its free, ad-supported TV (FAST) channel line-up with the addition of African Movie Channel’s Nolly Africa HD.
The new channel is a dedicated home for premium Nigerian programming, showing Nollywood films, TV series, talk shows and other unscripted content, including red-carpet coverage of blockbuster Nollywood movie premieres.
Yinka Mayungbo, African Movie Channel’s Founding Director, said: “We are proud of our reputation for producing truly original African programming and are delighted that our content is now available to Mometu’s audiences – this partnership will increase discovery of our series, documentaries and films even further, and no doubt attract Nollywood fans, old and new.”
Bryan Louzil, VP of Business Development at Mometu, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with African Movie Channel to bring the rich content of Nollywood to our free streaming platform. There is a huge appetite for African content in the US and worldwide, and the addition of Nolly Africa HD to the Mometu FAST channel line-up introduces premium, 24-hour African entertainment to our diverse audiences.”
Nolly Africa TV joins four other channels – Teen Africa, Applus Africa, 4AceTV Afrobeat and Africanews – to make up Mometu’s growing African content catalogue.
