WaterBear Network earns B Corp status
December 1, 2022
WaterBear Network, the digital publisher and free streaming platform dedicated to the future of the planet, has been accredited with full B Corp status with a score of 126.6.
B Corp status means brands must meet high standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Businesses are held legally accountable to consider the impact their decisions have on their workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.
Sam Sutaria, CEO of WaterBear Network said: “Since launching two years ago, we’ve seen the demand for powerful socio-environmental content explode. B Corp accreditation was the next important stepping stone in holding ourselves accountable within the sector. Too few production companies and content platforms are making the commitment to use business for good. For us, this is non-negotiable. It forms the foundation of the stories we want to tell. We launched in 2020 with one mission in mind: to transform the streaming industry by creating a platform that could help our fragile planet. We will continue to accelerate this goal by scaling up the business and inspiring an even larger audience to become part of the climate solution.”
