Azercosmos, SUPARCO sign MOU for Space Initiatives

Azercosmos, Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (SUPARCO), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration on Peaceful Uses of Space Sciences, Technology and Applications.
The MoU envisages Pakistan-Azerbaijan collaboration in space science, technology and applications and will serve as an instrument to establish a framework for future cooperation in the domain of outer space. The cooperation includes capacity building, exchange of scientific know-how and exchange between academic institutes and human capital in the field of Space Science, technology and Applications.
Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of Azercosmos emphasised the importance of cooperation with Pakistan in the space sector and establishment of tangible bilateral cooperation to diversify national economies, improve space-based services, and further strengthen the space programme.
Amer Nadeem, Chairman of SUPARCO, commented: “This MoU will open avenues of opportunities, where both space agencies can work together towards building a prosperous future for their nations.”
