VANTIVA (formerly known as Technicolor) and Vodafone UK have teamed up to deploy Ultrahub, a Wi-Fi 6E gateway.
Ultrahub is a premium customer premise equipment (CPE) device that allows Vodafone to offer next-generation managed services for in-home wireless connectivity. Outfitted with the latest tri-band radio technology, Ultrahub supports multiple extenders to provide connected homes with a superior experience. The device provides a platform that allows Vodafone to configure Wi-Fi support for the growing array ofservices being introduced by the network service provider as part of its strategic roadmap – including home network security, IoT, and digital security applications.
“Consumer behaviours in the UK market are evolving rapidly. It has created new requirements for leading network service providers, like Vodafone, to deliver strong, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the home. Improving wireless services in the home is playing an increasingly prominent role in reducing subscriber churn by improving customer loyalty,” said Mercedes Pastor, senior vice president of global CPE business unit for VANTIVA.
