Absolute Radio rebrands as Greatest Hits Radio
March 25, 2021
Following a public consultation, Ofcom has approved a request from Bauer Radio Limited to change the Format of one of its Greater London licences, which broadcasts as Absolute Radio on 105.8FM.
A station’s Format describes the type of programmes it is required to provide under its licence. This includes a description of the ‘character’ of the service.
Having secured approval, the station will rebrand as ‘Greatest Hits Radio’, broadcasting “classic pop and rock hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, with specialist features, music documentaries and a classic album tracks show, plus local news and information aimed at 25-54-year old Londoners”.
