Italy: Amazon to bid for Serie A rights

Amazon is planning to join the bidding for the TV rights to Serie A football in Italy, taking on the likes of Comcast’s Sky and DAZN.
Amazon plans to bid for streaming rights that would see games air on its Prime Video service.
The country’s top flight league has set a January 26th deadline to sell the rights to the next three seasons, seeking around €1.15 billion per season.
Amazon recently acquired the streaming rights to a package of Champions League games in the country.
