The Turkish public broadcaster TRT’s international news platform TRT World has entered into a partnership with the Maltese telco Melita. The English language TRT World will now be available to Melita TV subscribers on extended and extended basic TV products.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Melita as this will allow us to share global human centred stories on world events to viewers in Malta” said Furkan Han, TRT World’s Head of Global Digital & Satellite Distribution & Partnership. “At TRT World we are always looking for ways to expand our reach through digital and traditional platforms and bring the latest news stories to our audience.”
Simon Poljšak, Senior Fixed Products Manager of Melita, added: “We constantly seek to improve and add international channels to our line-up. We are excited to include TRT World, further strengthening the number of international news channels we offer – something which we know our cosmopolitan customer base appreciates.”
