Canal Digital creating Android TV experience

Canal Digital has revealed it is in the process of creating a new TV experience based on Google’s open ecosystem, the Android TV platform.
“We are excited to be creating a next generation TV experience. Being built on the Android TV platform, it will offer the customers a totally new TV experience, with seamless integration between direct TV, streaming and other services. With this platform, we will meet our customers’ rapidly changing demands,” said Ragnar Kårhus, CEO of Canal Digital.
Further details about the new TV experience will be revealed over time. Canal Digital has been working on the Android TV platform for some time, and launch date will be announced in 2017.
