Despite international condemnation Russia has stayed in possession of the Crimea region since its invasion in February 2014. Russia’s federal telecoms regulator is now to sell off the digital terrestrial TV frequencies in the area, which will include Sebastopol.
Roskomnadzor says it will launch a tender on February 25th to cover nineteen TV frequencies in the Crimea. These bands are currently administered by the Ukraine.
