Hispasat’s growth in LatAm
August 21, 2014
By Chris Forrester
Hispasat CEO Carlos Espinós says that 55.6 per cent of the Madrid-based satellite operator’s revenues are now coming from the Latin America area, and both revenues and LatAm’s share is growing.
Espinós adds that these Latino operations are key to Hispasat’s success given that revenues from Europe were declining, and the recession in Europe meant little growth was anticipated.
He added that Latin America represented one of the areas of the world with the greatest potential. He stated that the main growth drivers would be broadcasting, network connectivity and broadband by satellite.
