Jackson leaving Discovery

Andrew Jackson is leaving Discovery after two years at the US broadcaster.
The former boss of the BBC’s Natural History Unit joined the factual broadcaster as EVP of production and development of landmark series and specials in June 2012.
He was responsible for commissioning and exec producing ambitious Discovery Channel events such as Skywire Live with Nik Wallenda and America’s Doomsday Plan as well as strands such as Shark Week.
While at the BBC, between 2009 and 2012, he oversaw more than 40 series and specials and was responsible for the award-winning production unit based in Bristol. His credits include Frozen Planet and Ocean Giants.
