Amazon acquires new Batman series

Amazon has boosted its exclusive rights portfolio by acquiring rights to to the new animated Batman series – Beware the Batman. The 26 episode show is available in the UK for the first time via Amazon’s Prime Instant Video streaming service.
The deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution sees Amazon continue to invest heavily in quality content aimed at teens and animation fans, and marks the first time the company has aired a series aimed at a young adult audience on its Prime Instant Video movie and TV streaming service before airing on traditional broadcasters.
“This milestone deal signals an exciting time in the growth of our exclusive content offering” said Tim Leslie, Vice President of Amazon Instant Video EU. “We’re passionate about investing in the very best shows for our customers of all ages, and this is a great new series for a range of generations to immerse themselves in.”
