53% believe mobile devices will replace TVs

Research released at CES in Las Vegas by Irdeto exploring consumer television and video viewing preferences has revealed that 53 per cent of consumers believe that mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets will replace television sets in the next eight years as the most common way to consume entertainment. Of that group, 31 per cent believe that change will actually occur sooner, in the next one to five years.
