Huggers for Hulu?
October 2, 2013
By Chris Forrester
A report in the New York Post suggests that Erik Huggers, currently head of Intel’s OnCue proposed OTT service, is considering a position as CEO of download service Hulu. Huggers was the BBC’s director of future media & technology until early 2011.
Intel’s newly appointed CEO Brian Krzanich has reportedly been less than enthusiastic about OnCue.
Hulu’s CEO position has been vacant since Jason Kilar left the job in December last year. Acting CEO Andy Forsell has been running Hulu since March.
Huggers may not be the sole candidate, with the NYP also identifying a Fox Networks group president, Mike Hopkins and Lauren Zalaznik, NBC Universal EVP, as potential suitors for the position.
