American retail group Target is currently in the beta phase of its Target Ticket movie-streaming and download service, offering staff members and selected customers to become the first to try out the venture, which will compete with services such as Walmart-backed Vudu, Amazon and Netflix. The operation is looking to roll out commercially later in the autumn.
“With instant access to 15,000 titles, new releases, classic movies and next-day TV, there’s always something new to watch and love,” promises the premium service’s welcome page. Users will be able to stream or download movies and shows in their library for playback on their PC, Mac, iOS, and Android products.
