Italy Serie B on Europa 7 HD
August 10, 2012
From Branislav Pekic in Rome
Italy’s second football league division will get its own TV channel, as the result of a three-year partnership deal currently being negotiated by the League Serie B and broadcaster Europa 7 HD.
Serie B TV will air live matches of 22 football teams in the Serie B regular season – excluding advance and deferred games – as well as the play-off and play-out games – based on a subscription formula. The programme schedule will also include match highlights, plus daily League and club news.
The simultaneous broadcasting of Serie B matches, with live commentary before and after the games, will be guaranteed by the new DVB-T2 technology used by the Europa 7 HD platform.
Besides a subscription, viewers will also need a next-generation TV set with DVB-T2 processor, with the adequate CAM, or alternatively purchase the decoder directly from Europa 7’s website or at retail outlets.
