Conax has confirmed an agreement with Turksat for deployment of a Conax Contego content security solution for its rapidly expanding cable TV operations. In 2008, the Ankara-based cable TV and satellite operator deployed a Conax CAS7 solution for the launch of its new DTV platform. Today, the Conax Contego solution enables secure distribution from Turksat’s 26 head-ends, providing 140 TV and radio channels to 600.000 DTV subscribers and providing 55 TV channels to 1.3 million analogue subscribers across the country.
To enhance the Turksat’s substantial operational growth, the operator has completed the upgrade and deployment of the Conax Contego platform. The new management system enables Turksat to manage and maintain its operations with ease and flexibility. The platform’s architecture also includes built-in key features such as a comprehensive monitoring solution for early detection of potential issues, to reduce operational risk.
