VidScale’s MediaWarp for Avail-TVN’s AnyView
December 20, 2011
VidScale, a provider of carrier-class content delivery network (CDN) services, federated transparent caching and bandwidth optimisation for the cable, mobile and ISP markets, has been selected and deployed by Avail-TVN, the digital media services company, to provide key functionality for the company’s AnyView multiplatform, multiscreen video service.
AnyView will extend and enhance the traditional VoD and linear television experience for end-user customers using IP-connected devices including PCs and Macs, and for mobile consumer electronics such as Apple iOS, Roku and Android devices.
“The goal of Avail-TVN is to provide our customers the ability to deliver a rich digital media experience and superior Quality of Service (QoS) across multiple types of connected devices. VidScale’s MediaWarp software and multi-tier architecture enabled us to rapidly deploy carrier-class CDN functionality for value-added services our customers can pass on to the end-user,” said Michael Kazmier, CTO at Avail-TVN.
