Minerva Networks, a provider of software solutions, has announced the first customer for its new xTVFusion 5 for broadband TV platform, designed to enable operators to deliver richer IPTV experiences to both high- and low-bandwidth subscribers.
MobiNet, business unit of Etex Telephone Cooperative based in Texas. USA, has successfully trialed the delivery of television services over a 4G LTE network in north-eastern Texas, including ‘HD-like’ broadcast television, VoD and OTT TV, using mobile broadband speeds of as little as 3 Mbps.
Etex is a member of NetAmerica, an alliance of independent 4G licence holders who have partnered to deliver advanced 4G LTE mobile broadband solutions to rural America.
