Deutsche Telekom: Sales down, TV subs up

Deutsche Telekom’s turnover dipped 8 per cent to €14.5 billion in Q1 with profit down 19 per cent to €1.6 billion. However its Entertain IPTV service grew to 1.257 million subs, up from 896,000 a year ago.
In Hungary, Magyar Telekom topped 750,000 subs on IPTV and DTH during March, resulting in a 13.5 per cent increase in revenues from TV services.
Its Croatian provider T-Hrvatski Telekom increased its IPTV base to 317,000 from 257,000 a year earlier, adding nearly 20,000 subs in the three months ending March 31.
