From September 2016, Mark Reid will assume the role of CFO for UPC – the pan-European telco. Reid is currently the Deputy CFO of Virgin Media, a subsidiary of Liberty Global. On assuming his new role, he will take over from the current CFO of UPC, Ivan Nash Vila.

Prior to assuming the role of Deputy CFO at Virgin Media, UPC’s sister operation in Britain and Ireland, Reid worked for several companies in the travel and Internet sectors. He was employed by ebookers.com as Director of Finance, overseeing the company’s financial integration following its acquisition by Orbitz. Following his decision to gain further experience outside of the travel sector, Reid took on the role of Director of Finance for Web content company Yahoo from 2007 until the end of 2011. Based in Switzerland, he was responsible for multi-territorial financial monitoring and performance at Yahoo! EMEA.
