Apple CarPlay has been launched in the US by JVC Mobile Entertainment. Showcased at CES earlier this year the unit is the first in the JVC line to offer Apple’s CarPlay interface.
We are pleased to finally release product to our retailers,” said Hazim Jainoor, JVC’s marketing manager. “There is a lot of excitement around the new head unit and we anticipate it to be a strong performer in the JVC Mobile Entertainment line this summer.”
The unit, priced at $599, comes pre-loaded with Apple’s Siri voice command, as well as integrated Apps for Spotify and Pandora (but subscriptions are required) as well as SiriusXM-Ready and Bluetooth and various media-related connectivity options.
The JVC player is self-powered with a 50 Watt x 4 amplifier.
