Telefonica OTT passes 1m subs

Telefonica’s OTT service Yomvi now boasts over a million subscribers and 3 million downloads every week.
Over the last few months Yomvi has been significantly increasing subscribers – from 600,000 in July to over a million as of the end of September. Its growth goes is parallel to Telefonica’s pay-TV platform wiith almost 4 million subscribers and a potential audience of 11 million people.
Yomvi distributes over 15,000 titles including TV series, movies, live sports and VoD content. The transmissions of TV matches through Yomvi saw a record 385,000 peopletune into the last Atletico de Madrid vs Real Madrid match.
Yomvi will be the toughest rival to Netflix in its entrance in the Spanish OTT market from October 20th.
