Sirius-XM captures more connected cars
April 7, 2015
By Chris Forrester
Pay-radio operator Sirius-XM has secured another major contract from a mass-market carmaker for its Sirius-XM telematics ‘direct-to-car’ service. Sirius-XM is already working with BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Toyota and Lexus to supply telematics services. This new agreement extends the relationship that Sirius-XM already has with Nissan and its ‘NissanConnect’ services.
Nissan’s 2016 top of the range Maxima models will include Sirius-XM’s vehicle security, vehicle health monitoring, remote access and more across three tiers of service. The highest tier will add to basics like emergency services with destination services including search and journey planning.
