iPlayer extends download window
December 5, 2014
The BBC is extending the time iPlayer users have to download TV shows to watch offline on a range of mobiles, tablets and computers – from 7 to 30 days – just in time for the festive period.
The BBC has also confirmed that the iPlayer app is now available on the Xbox One games console.
Dan Taylor-Watt, Head of BBC iPlayer says: “TV is undoubtedly king at Christmas – and the arrival of BBC iPlayer on Xbox One gives viewers even more choice on how they watch. 30 day downloads arrives just in time for those unwrapping new devices, perfect for catching up on the bumper Christmas schedule.”
