Movistar TV Ready on Samsung TV

Spaniards are now able to watch all Telefónica’s pay-TV channels from Movistar TV without the need of using a set-top-box.
The company has entered into an alliance with Samsung to create Movistar TV Ready which will be available on all Samsung’s Smart TVs, featuring all the services currently distributed by Movistar TV.
The integration of Movistar TV’s software into Samsung’s Smart TVs will also allow viewers to record TV content in the cloud. The launch will be initially in Spain, although Telefónica is planning to extend the model to other countries where it operates. Samsung is doing the same with other operators in South Korea and Estonia.
