Motorola Mobility and Rostelecom

Rostelecom, Russia’s national telecom operator, is driving towards the digitalisation of television across Russia and has selected to work with Motorola Mobility to expand its digital TV services across the country, which will include the introduction of new video on demand and interactive TV experiences.
“This announcement marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between Rostelecom and Motorola Mobility to bring leading edge solutions and services to the Russian market,” said Pavel Zaitsev, Vice President – Director for Commerce, Rostelecom. “As an established leader in IPTV and video delivery, Motorola’s solutions are both innovative and cost effective and will help us to differentiate and attract new customers as we grow our business across the country.”
Motorola’s VIP1003 and VIP1963 IPTV set-tops will be deployed in early 2012
