Latino subs grew 1.6m in Q2

Latin America continues to pile on the pay-TV subscribers. Growth in the period to the end of end of June stood at some 1.62 million (up 3.8 per cent) when compared to the first quarter of the year.
Throughout South America cable TV supply about 26.8 million subscribers, while satellite TV has 16.74 million subs.
Mexico and Brazil are the two main markets, with Brazil adding 659,000 new subs, while Mexico grew its subscriber base by 524,000, according to Dataxix Information.
