WWE Network subs up 4% YoY

WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has revealed its latest set of financial results, including an update on the subscription count for its WWE Network VoD service.
Subscribers in Q3 2017 increased by 4 per cent on Q3 2016 to 1.52 million. This can be broken down to 1.11 million domestic and 400,000 international.
The total count has fallen from Q2, with WWE reporting 1.63 million paid subscribers back in July. This is due to the company’s flagship WrestleMania PPV that falls within Q2 and always drives a spike in viewers.
WWE said it expects the paid subscription count to fall to 1.47 million in Q4, and projects an average of 1.53 million for the full year, representing an 8 per cent growth on 2016.
