The Black Mirror Experience coming to Brazil

July 16, 2026

Banijay Live Studio, the division of Banijay Live (part of Banijay Entertainment) dedicated to turning IP from the Banijay catalogue into in-person entertainment experiences, has announced, in co-production with Univrse, a studio specializing in immersive virtual reality, and WOW Exibições, the arrival of The Black Mirror Experience in Brazil for the first time.

This premium immersive experience opens on July 31th at Shopping Eldorado in São Paulo, for a limited season. Tickets go on sale via Bilheteria Digital from July 20, with a dedicated pre-sale for VIP group members from July 16. São Paulo will become its fourth stop worldwide, following successful launches in Montreal (Canada), Madrid (Spain) and New York (USA).

Inspired by the acclaimed anthology series created by Charlie Brooker, The Black Mirror Experience combines physical sets with free-roaming virtual reality, immersing visitors in an entirely original standalone story set in the Black Mirror universe to engage both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

Visitors are invited to the exclusive opening of Phaethon’s showroom, where the fictional tech giant about to unveil its most ambitious creation yet: LifeAgent, a robot designed to simplify their lives, understand their desires and help them become the best version of themselves. At first, everything seems to work perfectly. Safe. Reassuring. Almost perfect. Until it isn’t…

The Black Mirror Experience is a hybrid, 60-minute experience where groups of up to six visitors become the protagonists of a thought-provoking adventure exploring the role of technology and artificial intelligence in everyday life.

“With The Black Mirror Experience, you’re no longer just visiting a world or a cultural attraction – you’re stepping into an entirely new form of entertainment. This isn’t about watching a story unfold. It’s about living it. And this time, you are the protagonist.” says François de Brugada, CEO of Banijay Live.

“What excited us most was the tension between the familiar and the strange – the feeling that the world you’re about to enter might be just one decision away,” adds David Bardos, co-founder of Univrse. “That’s exactly what Black Mirror has always done so brilliantly. We built this experience to live inside that feeling.”

Black Mirror, a Banijay Entertainment format available on Netflix, has won 29 major awards – including 9 Emmys and 4 BAFTAs – across seven seasons, gathering more than 3.3 million subscribers worldwide and racking up 86 million views on social media.

Created by Charlie Brooker, the series returned to Netflix in April 2025 with its seventh season, produced by Broke & Bones, with Charlie Brooker, Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones as executive producers. The brand is represented by Banijay Rights.

Ahead of its official opening in Brazil, the experience was showcased at Cannes, where it received a Special Jury Mention in the Immersive Competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
