Channel 4’s Production Training Scheme opens for applications

Channel 4’s 4Skills has opened applications for its Production Training Scheme, an initiative reshaping access to the TV industry for new and underrepresented talent across the UK’s Nations and Regions.
The scheme will provide twelve fully paid placements with unscripted indies across Belfast, Glasgow, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, Wrexham, Caernarfon and Bristol, enabling trainees to kickstart their TV career as production coordinators or researchers.
Over the 12‑month scheme, trainees will gain hands‑on experience through their placements, alongside a week‑long training bootcamp and ongoing skills development delivered by training provider thinkBIGGER!.

- Stellify Media – Researcher – Belfast
- Ricochet – Researcher – Glasgow
- Firecrest – Researcher – Glasgow
- Raise the Roof – Researcher – Glasgow
- True North – Researcher – Leeds
- Air TV – Researcher – Leeds
- Workerbee North – Researcher – Manchester
- Twenty Twenty/ Wall to Wall – Production Coordinator – Bristol
- Ty’r Ddraig (Dragon House) – Production Coordinator – Wrexham
- Kailash Films – Production Coordinator – Cardiff
- Cwmni Da – Researcher – Caernarfon

The initiative is one of many projects being supported by 4Skills, Channel 4’s training and development arm.
The deadline for applications is April 27th, with the scheme launching mid-September.
