March 11, 2026
Roger Elsener is to become the new SRF Director after the SRG Board of Directors elected him at a meeting on March 10th. SRF is the Swiss public broadcaster SRG’s affiliate serving the German-speaking part of the country.
Elsener, who is currently CEO of European TV streaming provider Zattoo, which belongs to the Zurich-based TX Group, will step down from the role at the end of April. He also previously worked at CH Media for more than ten years.
Tina Rodriguez has already been named as Zattoo Interim CEO (effective April 1st). She joined Zattoo in January as Chief Consumer Officer, responsible for the company’s D2C business and corporate communications. She has also previously held senior roles at Liberty Global, Sunrise, UPC Switzerland and Unitymedia.
Daniel Mönch, chairman of the board of Directors of Zattoo, commented: “We would like to thank Roger Elsener for his strong commitment and his valuable contributions to Zattoo. With Tina Rodriguez, we are appointing a strong leader from within our own ranks who combines stability with fresh perspectives.”
“Zattoo is very well positioned in the market,” added Rodriguez. “I am looking forward to continuing and further developing our strategy in close collaboration with the Board of Directors and the management team, while also bringing new impulses both internally and externally.”
