San Diego Comic-Con Málaga has revealed the name of its guest of honour for this first edition: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hollywood action movie legend and pop culture icon. In addition to him, many more stars will be meeting fans between September 25th and 28th, at the FYCMA (Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Center).

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the headquarters of BBVA in Madrid, the financial sponsor of San Diego Comic-Con Málaga, and was attended by Javier Barberá, Executive Director of San Diego Comic-Con Málaga, as well as Francisco de la Torre, Mayor of Málaga, together with Alicia Izquierdo, Fourth Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Innovation, Urban Digitisation, Promotion of Technological and Business Investment, and Investment Attraction for Málaga and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Promálaga, as well as Antonio Sanz, Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification of the Regional Government of Andalusia and President of the Digital Agency of Andalusia, and Carlos Arturo Bernal Bergua, Minister of Tourism and Andalusia Abroad of the Regional Government of Andalusia, representing Malaga and the Regional Government of Andalusia, the main sponsors of San Diego Comic- Con Málaga and major driving forces behind this first and long-awaited edition. On behalf of BBVA, the event was presented by Francisco Javier Jerez Basurco, BBVA Regional Director for the South.

Schwarzenegger is a living legend in the world of cinema. From bodybuilding legend to Hollywood icon and governor of California, his career has marked generations and inspired millions of people around the world.

San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2025 says it is proud to present its special guest, an action movie icon and unforgettable star of films such as The Terminator, Predator and Total Recall. Schwarzenegger is, and will remain, one of the most recognizable and influential figures in global popular culture.

In addition to Schwarzenegger , and figures such as Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb, other names from the world of comics will be present, such as C.B. Cebulski, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics since 2017 and one of those responsible for maintaining and continuing the legacy of one of the most influential publishers in the history of the medium.

Disney is also coming to San Diego Comic-Con Málaga with two of its most talked- about releases: Tron: Ares and Predator Badlands, whose impressive presentations will remain in the memory of attendees forever. For Star Wars fans, Lucasfilm presents the third season of Star Wars Visions, its acclaimed animated anthology whose unique vision contributes to further expanding the creative boundaries of the Star Wars universe.

All this and much more will happen at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga.
