FloSports, the sports media company, has tapped Accedo, a provider of video streaming software and services, to expand the FloSports Connected TV service to additional Smart TV platforms, making its live sports and content available to millions of new sports fans across the globe.
Through the agreement, FloSports will leverage Accedo’s solutions and experience deploying more than 30 sports streaming services in recent years, as well as its expertise in Lightning development, to ensure a seamless and high-performance deployment.
Dave Stelnik, VP of Business Development for FloSports, commented: “Expanding FloSports’ reach on Smart TVs allows us to meet our customers where they are and furthers our mission to grow our sports every day. With Accedo’s proven track record of delivering scalable, innovative sports streaming solutions, together with its expertise in using Lightning, it was the obvious choice to support us in bringing FloSports content to millions of new households.”
Mrugesh Desai, VP, North America, Accedo, added: “Consumers around the world are increasingly streaming live sports. The further expansion of FloSports on to new Smart TV platforms will help FloSports deliver its world-class sports content to even more sports fans, while also offering them more ways to watch.”
Currently the FloSports Connected TV app, featuring enhanced discoverability and streaming capabilities, is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV devices. It is also available on the web and for download on mobile devices (iOS and Android) via the FloSports app.
FloSports delivers over 40,000 live events annually in more than 25 different sports including motorsports, wrestling, grappling, hockey, cheer, track & field, college athletics, and more. Beyond development, Accedo’s 24/7 support and maintenance services will ensure a seamless experience for FloSports users post-launch, maintaining a high quality of service (QoS) across all platforms.
