Nami Patel is taking on an expanded role at Disney, as SVP, Consumer Strategy & Business Development, Direct To Consumer EMEA.
Writing on LinkedIn, Patel – who first joined Disney in March 2019 as SVP, Consumer Strategy & Business Development – said: “It’s been an incredible journey to be a part of the Disney+ launch and success, and this new role reflects the growing importance of DTC within Disney’s portfolio. My focus will be on driving the growth and long-term evolution of Disney+ in EMEA, exploring new market entries, and developing innovative ways to expand and enhance the Disney+ experience for our consumers. I’ll also play a key role in the DTC content proposition, including building new content partnerships, and leading local content acquisitions for Disney+”.
“My team and I will continue to lead strategic planning across Disney Entertainment in EMEA, as well as looking after our corporate brand management, franchise marketing and character events. I am excited about this new chapter and the opportunities ahead to continue driving growth and innovation at Disney. I can’t wait to get started, working with such a fantastic team across the business,” she added.
