Stuart Andrew has been appointed Shadow Culture Secretary by newly-elected Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch. Andrew is the MP for Daventry, and has been an MP continually since May 2010.
In September 2022, he became Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and was reappointed to that role in October 2022.
In Opposition, Andrew was appointed interim Shadow Chief Whip.
In a post on X, Andrew said: “Excited to take on my new role as Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport after serving as the Shadow Chief Whip. Looking forward to holding the Labour Government to account and developing the Conservative vision for these vital industries.”
