Mediapro plans to launch a pay-TV channel dedicated to the Qatar’s Football World Cup to offer all the matches when the tournament kicks off on November 20th.
Movistar, Orange and Vodafone are reportedly negotiating with Mediapro to distribute the channel on their platforms. The new channel, yet to be branded, will also offer highlights, interviews, training sessions and the latest news on all teams.
Mediapro holds the TV rights in Spain to the Qatar World Cup with RTVE having FTA rights to all Spanish team’s matches, semi-finals and final.
