GOL has rebranded as GOL PLAY. The free-to-air sports channel in Spain is also strengthening its programming schedule by adding new fiction and entertainment content such as series, films and documentaries.

The new content will be aired in the slots where there is no live content. GOL PLAY will continue to offer free-to-air sports coverage including La Liga Santander and highlights shows with all the day’s action, UEFA Europa League, UFC, boxing and the channel’s flagship shows with all the latest sports news, El Golazo de GOL and Directo GOL.

Coinciding with the start of La Liga, the new programming kicked off with a Directo Gol special presented by Felipe del Campo. The new schedule includes some of most celebrated TV series such as Knightrider, The A-Team (pictured) and Miami Vice and movies including God Bless America and The Good Thief.
