Spielberg’s Amazing Stories for Apple TV
October 12, 2017
Apple has struck a deal with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and NBC’s Universal Television to create a ten episode reboot of the fantasy series Amazing Stories.
The series originally aired on the NBC broadcast network from 1985 to 1987. Similar to The Twilight Zone, each episode serves as a standalone story with a fantasy, horror, or sci-fi theme. Spielberg will reportedly take an executive producer role.
Apple has earmarked $1 billion to spend on original programming in the next year as it aims to grab a slice of the lucrative video streaming market.
