Scripps selects Encompass CloudVOD
July 20, 2017
Scripps Networks International has selected Encompass CloudVOD, a cloud-based VoD service, as its exclusive solution for delivering VoD content to the EMEA region. CloudVOD is powered by Microsoft Azure and uses powerful automation and orchestration engines to manage Scripps’ VoD workflow including the delivery of assets to the largest VoD platform footprint in EMEA.
“With the high demand for Scripps Networks’ content across the EMEA region, we needed to partner with a company that had a large global platform footprint, could on-board and scale swiftly and provide the level of automation and custom workflows to support our rapidly growing VoD distribution requirements,” said Mark Hale, EVP Global Operations & Chief Technology Officer for Scripps Networks Interactive.
“We are thrilled that Scripps entrusts us with their valuable content and to fulfill their VoD processing and delivery needs,” added Marc Bruce, Encompass’ SVP Commerical, EMEA. “We understand the complexities of the diverse VoD ecosystem and can leverage our scale and expertise to create and securely distribute Scripps’ assets to digital platforms.”
