Pakistan: ARY to add sports

Pakistan’s ARY Digital is to add a sports channel which will focus on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 20/20 cricket tournament.
PSL is a new professional league and headquartered in Lahore, and comprises 5 key member clubs. Backed by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the first tournament has been underway since February 4th and concludes on February 23rd in a final to be played in Dubai.
The ARY announcement was made by Salman Iqbal, CEO/president of ARY Digital Network. He said that the PSL was a great opportunity for youngsters to exhibit their talent. He also optimistic that the PSL will revive cricket in the country.
ARY transmits several channels including ARY Digital, ARY News, ARY Zindagi, ARY Qtv, ARY Musik, HBO and Nickelodeon.
