Jeremy Clarkson, the former Top Gear presenter who was sacked by the BBC, is starring in a commercial for Amazon’s streaming device, the Fire TV Stick.
The ad, which will air on ITV on October 31st during the Rugby World Cup Final, shows the TV host using the device Amazon’s fastest-selling product to date and commenting: “Back in the Spring, as you probably remember, I suddenly became unbusy… But that was okay because I had one of these. An Amazon Fire TV Stick.”
Clarkson procedes to read out the channels available through the device, skipping BBC iPlayer in a reference to his ousting from the corporation.
During the ad, viewers get a first look at the poster for his new series with James May and Richard Hammond – The Clarkson, Hammond & May show – which has been commissioned by Amazon Prime at a huge expense.
