Verizon trialling 4K, and more

US telco giant Verizon is reportedly testing fibre-based delivery of 4K content and programming, and its R&D engineers say they are confident that the circuits can handle speeds up to 10 Gb/s.
The report, carried in California-based ‘4K’, states that Verizon’s aim is to be ready to handle 4K material, although the report also says that 8K delivery would also be easily handled at that degree of bandwidth.
