AMC channel for Hungary’s DIGI
July 2, 2015
DIGI, one of Hungary’s leading telecom operators, has added the AMC channel to its platforms. As a result, AMC now reaches over 2.2 million households in Hungary.
This is yet another significant step in the widening of AMC’s distribution, which in 8 months time has more than doubled the number of households where it can be viewed.
Starting July 2nd, DIGI has added AMC to its satellite basic package. As of August 1st, this will be extended to DIGI’s cable platform basic package, resulting in the growth of nearly 700 000 households to the channel.
AMC was launched in Hungary in November 2014, and has been premiering highly regarded series like Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Fargo and Halt and Catch Fire.
“At the time of AMC’s launch we promised not only top quality content, but also premiere times very close to the US premieres. I am proud we have fulfilled both these promises and I am extremely happy that thanks to DIGI’s distribution of the channel, so many new viewers can enjoy these top-class hits.” – said AMC Networks International Central Europe CEO, Levente Málnay B.”
