Encompass expands with LTN
May 28, 2014
Encompass Digital Media, a global player in mission-critical media capture, management and distribution services, is working with LTN and its next generation managed IP network to provide a total solution for affordable, reliable transmission services across the globe.
Encompass recognises the quality and affordability of using IP over reliable, defined Internet-accessible hardened nodes. The companies are working together to deploy IP transmission kits including multi-channel HD encoding for sports, news, entertainment and corporate events. Encompass’ New York Waterfront facility acts as a point-of-presence for LTN and enables the connectivity of hundreds of customers directly to the LTN IP network. In addition, Encompass’ global Teleport footprint is directly accessible to LTN.
“With the demand rising for reliable, broadcast quality IP delivery, Encompass is not only embracing this trend but is looking one step ahead into what we see as a rapidly growing delivery technology within our industry,” said Chris Myers, Encompass’ Executive Vice President, Global Occasional Services.
“Encompass and LTN are providing a compelling solution for our clients by creating a one-stop shop for transporting their events from anywhere on the globe easily, economically and with high quality and reliability,” said Malik Khan, Executive Chairman of LTN.
